POCUS – how much should I know?

Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) refers to the integrative of ultrasonography at the bedside by the clinical practitioner. This imaging modality is gaining increasing traction in critical care, with an ever expanding array of potential uses. From neuroimaging to abdominal visceral imaging to echocardiography, the critical care practitioner of today seeking knowledge in this medium can quickly find themselves overwhelmed.
This talk will provide an update on the current POCUS modalities, pathways to accreditation, and discuss some of the future directions.
